Melbourne Zoo Wedding

Matt and I are getting married at Melbourne zoo. I am going with a vintage/rustic type theme – picture hessian, lace, mason jars, milk bottles, brown paper and lots of flowers. I am doing all the decorations myself, I find that fun! It will be a casual, relaxed day (well, I’m hoping so anyway).The ceremony is on a lawn surrounded by tree’s (it’s called the platypus lawn) which will be at 4pm. There will be a few chairs but most guests will be standing. I am picturing a casual ceremony – nothing too formal, and it won’t be a long ceremony either.We then have free range of the zoo for photo’s. There would be so many great places for photo’s – i am very excited! Matt and I have been together for just over 8 years now. We have 2 cats, 2 dogs and a bird (seems only apropriate to be getting married at the zoo!) I am a vet nurse so spend most of my time with animals (besides Matt). We aren’t a hugely romantic couple, and neither of us are really photogenic. I think the thing i am most nervous about is being the centre of attention and having photo’s taken of me and everyone looking at me! We are pretty cruisy and i think the wedding will reflect our personalities and hopefully it will be a beautiful spring day!
